Hi everyone -

I am happy to report that Cosmology@Home is back amongst the top projects listed on BOINCstats! This is after we dropped completely off the map after overloading our server in the early summer. Since then we have made lots of changes, learning from our mistakes. A key change was the design and implementation of a new validation scheme that should ease the load on our server and make delivering work and getting credit for it much more transparent to our users.

Keeping in mind that we are still working on some problems that have arisen more recently (for example in the interaction with stats sites), our reappearance amongst the top BOINC projects worldwide is symbolic of these positive changes and a new beginning.

Thank you for your continued support of Cosmology@Home!

I guess I need to pay more attention because I didn’t even know Cosmology@Home wasn’t listed, lol.

Personally I don’t really care much about credit stats, I am here for the science and free coffee.

What? No free coffee? To heck with that, I’m out of here. . .

Seriously, thanks for the update Dr. W. :o)

Thanks for the great update! Patience and persistance has paid off! The best is yet to come as this project matures and attracts more volunteers.

So now we have a case of history repeating itself?
Apparently, one didn't learn enough from past episodes.

We will make sure it does not come to that!
