As in "Why am I not seeing (nearly) any new work units lately? Two days ago a drought ended ... and I got ONE new unit. I am not having problems with Milky Way and Rosetta, both of whom update regularly. Each time I try to manually obtain new Cosmology work, I get an all too familiar "communication deferred" message.

Can someone look into this for me?

At the moment Rosetta has 14 ready to report, two working and 7 ready to start, Milky Way has 6 ready to report and Cosmology has nothing at all on the list.

Part of the problem, from what I have been reading from other users on other projects, is that the BOINC version you are using is the problem.

7.0.x does not balance out work loads like the older versions did.

7.0.x if it has a lot of work from one project wont download new work from another project even if they have the same work share amount (100 Rosetta, 100 Cosmology for example). You would have to wait until the project with a lot of work runs low or runs out, before it requests work from the next project.

If you suspend work for the other projects then you should get work for Cosmology.

This is how I understand it.

I am not using the latest BOINC at the moment as I could not get it to work on my Linux computer (some problem with identifying the version number or something), so did not worry with my Windows machines.

I'd Love to have The RAM that you must have on your Computer (No Offence Meant). By the look of that List of Projects, if you are Running The Projects all together, and maybe using the Computer for Other Everyday Work at the same time, I'd guess that your Computers Resources are Overloaded. You could try Setting Your Preferences on Each Project to Only Run at Certain Hours each day, so that you have only about a Dozen Projects Running at Any One Time. From Memory, I think Rosetta uses quite a lot of Resources, so it could be stealing computer time from other Projects (so to speak).
