The Elapsed Time of The TASK is Increasing as naturally expected: HOWEVER, Why is The Remaining (Estimated) Time INCREASING? ... Yes, INCREASING by the Second (although sometimes 2 or 3 seconds at a time). Before you ask ... Is It FLUCTUATING ..... NO it's NOT ... It's INCREASING. Something is Obviously Seriously Wrong. All my other Projects and Related tasks are working Normally.

I have 2 other C@H Tasks WAITING TO START which I have Also SUSPENDED. These 2 are due on the 17th November. I will attempt to Run The Latter 2 Tasks once my other allocated Project Tasks (which are due for Completion at various times) have completed, unless I am Allocated Additional Tasks from The Other Projects, if Time Allows.

Nothing is wrong, it's just the way Boinc works with this project. Let each WU go for at least 24 hours before quitting.

Okay thanks for the info.. I've since noticed that the other Projects are doing it too. However, I've also noticed that the Percetage of Work Copleted is Increasing, so that relieved my mind. I am now Running Projects/Tasks again as per their Priority to Complete them on time. i am quite happy to Run Each Task until it has Completed; but due to my Settings on My System, only 2 or 3 Tasks will Run at the same Time: So some Tasks will need to Run in Excess of 24 Hours before/if I need to Reset/Abort. I am Alternating The Tasks to Run depending on how much of the Job has been Copleted and when the Others are Due For Completion. This seems to be Working Successfully. Thanks again for your Reply.

Hi.
I have the following problem, which may relate to the one brough up here: when I suspend the project (or turn BOINC off, and later restart it), tasks are usually reduced to 60% of completion, and the remaining time increases. Moreover, the same happens when a computation is suspended due to a high CPU usage. And, for this sake, I receive messages, that tasks are overdue, and I may not get credit for them, though it seems that tasks will be processed infinitely.

If this problem persists, I would have to leave the project.

I don't know about the increasing time/overdue problem, but WUs on here have checkpointing far in between hence it starts crunching from the last checkpoint which can be way back - I know, it's annoying me too. I tried to tell the people involved to add more checkpointing but got no reply thus far.
